Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Lamar app and this website. By using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Lamar.

1. The service

Lamar is a platform for discovering restaurants, cafés, events, and tourism experiences in Jeddah, and for booking or getting tickets where that is offered. The product is still being built; features may change or pause for maintenance.

2. Your account and responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information when you sign up.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secret and for activity on your account.
• Tell us at once at hello@lamardiscovery.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
• We may suspend or close an account if you break these terms or misuse the service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Lamar to:

• Post false, misleading, or unlawful content, or content that violates public order or decency.
• Infringe other people’s rights, privacy, or intellectual property.
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems or other users’ data.
• Abuse bookings or tickets (for example repeated fake bookings or unauthorized resale).
• Use the service for any purpose that is unlawful in Saudi Arabia.

4. Listings and third-party content

Listings, descriptions, prices, dates, and opening hours are provided by businesses or other third parties. Lamar does not warrant that this content is accurate, complete, or available. A booking or visit is between you and the business. We are not a party to the experience and are not liable for food quality, service quality, or an organizer canceling an event.

5. Bookings and tickets

When you book or buy a ticket, you confirm the time and quantity. A business or organizer may decline a request, or spots may sell out. Cancellation depends on the booking status and what the app allows at that time. Payments, if any, are handled by an independent payment provider and are also subject to that provider’s terms.

6. Business owners

If you register a business, you confirm that you are authorized to represent it, that commercial registration, phone, and photos are accurate, and that you will keep listings and hours up to date. The verified badge is granted after review and is not automatic.

7. Intellectual property

The Lamar name, mark, and app design belong to us or our licensors. You keep ownership of content you upload and grant us a non-exclusive license to display it and operate the service. You must have the right to upload any photo or text.

8. Disclaimer

The service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not liable for loss arising from your reliance on a business listing, from a third-party business’s conduct, or from temporary unavailability of the service.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The courts of Jeddah have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them, unless another venue is required by law.
